Fall in Lake George means Oktoberfest fun and plenty of Halloween events that make the region festive and exciting each year. Whether you’re enjoying a bratwurst and a beer, getting scared at Fright Fest, or just taking in the gorgeous Adirondack fall foliage, Cramer’s Point Lake Breeze is the place to stay.

Double the Fun for Oktoberfest

There are two awesome Oktoberfest celebrations in Lake George each year where you can enjoy amazing food, drinks, and entertainment. Whether you’re a beer lover, a foodie looking for some for authentic flavors, or someone who loves the Oktoberfest festivities, the Lake George Village Oktoberfest and Adirondack Brewery Oktoberfest Charity Block Party are a great place to visit on a fall getaway.

Lake George Village Oktoberfest:  This free, family-friendly event brings the spirit of Oktoberfest to Canada Street every Columbus Day weekend. (Oct. 11-13, 2024). Just a few miles south of Cramer’s Point, the festival is held right across from Shepherd Park and features nonstop German & Polka Music, traditional dancers, the Adirondack Brewery Beer Garden, local artisan vendors, carnival rides, stein hoisting, and all kinds of food!

Adirondack Brewery Oktoberfest Block Party: Held at the Brewery on Canada Street, the 18th Annual Oktoberfest Celebration kicks off on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 12-5pm. Enjoy a day packed with Oktoberfest fun from polka music to the Adirondack Brewery beer garden and New York State guest breweries to local vendors and all kinds of wursts! Take in all the best and tastiest Bavarian traditions with the beautiful Lake George Fall scenery as a backdrop.

Get Spooked by the Scary Side of the Adirondacks

During the day, you wouldn’t think that the Lake George region has much of a Halloween vibe. But when the sun goes down in October, there are some great spots to get a good scare, have fun with the kids, and even learn a little haunted history.

Get Spooked at Fright Fest: Fright Fest at Six Flags Great Escape runs every weekend from September 30 – October 29. You can take the kids for a family-friendly, spooky time during the day including trick-or-treating, costume contests, and all the rides in the park. But after 5pm the ghouls come out to bring things to another level of frightening fun featuring haunted houses, scare zones, events, and shows.

Boo 2 You Haunts Glens Falls: Boo 2 You in downtown Glens Falls is a great Halloween option for daytime family fun. Activities held along Glen and Ridge Streets and in City Park include trick-or-treating at downtown storefronts and along the sidewalks, live performances, a petting zoo, and a fun, spooky time for all ages. Get ready for characters to greet you as you visit different locations and enjoy the homes with scary decorations. Boo 2 You is scheduled for October 26, 2024.

Walk the Haunted History Trail: For serious ghost seekers, Fort William Henry is home to the Haunted History Trail of New York State and conducts ghost hunts and guided tours from May through the end of October. The fort and local haunted spots have centuries of history impacted by military battles, diseases, and a harsh Adirondack climate that has unleashed the spirits. You’ll hear ghost stories and personal experiences from the guides, see the equipment used by paranormal investigators, and maybe even have a ghostly experience of your own. Reservations are recommended, especially in the fall.

At Cramer’s Point Lake Breeze, our team loves the fall season in the Adirondacks. We’re looking forward to hosting you for your Oktoberfest, Halloween, and other fall adventures here in Lake George.  Make your reservation today to make sure your favorite cabin is ready for your October getaway!
